In June and July of 2017, I was pleased to volunteer as a PR Consultant for the special election campaign of Cindy Friedman for State Senate in the Middlesex, 4th District (covering Arlington, Lexington, Woburn, Burlington and Billerica, Massachusetts). I was happy to write press releases and the campaign slogan. Cindy won the primary handily, and the general by 89%.
I grew up in a politically active family. My mother was the home district chief-of-staff for U.S. Congressman, Ken Hechler (D-WV), and my father was a campaign manager for Jay Rockefeller's successful gubernatorial run in West Virginia in 1972. I'm always looking for opportunities to work on political campaigns.
